The average home has hundreds, sometimes thousands of chemicals inside that can interfere with our health and wellbeing.

Minimizing your exposure to toxic chemicals can improve gut health, reduce stress, and reduce inflammation.

Here at All 4 One Club, we are HUGE fans of non-toxic living. In the past, making the switch was much more difficult for the average person. Non-toxic products were not very accessible or affordable. There was even a fear that natural products were less effective. Now? It’s easier than ever to make the switch to non-toxic. They are affordable, effective & accessible. We want to break it down for you and answer the big question. Why should you make the switch?

There is a laundry list (pun intended) of chemicals that you should avoid, but we are going to start small. Let’s take baby steps on this journey and before you know it, you will hop on the Non-Toxic train and never look back.

Here’s a list of chemicals and products that you can kick to the curb to start off…

1. Parabens

ANYTHING that ends in parabens. Methylparabens, isobutylparabens, propylparabens & more. Parabens are hormone disrupters and they mimic oestrogen. Too much oestrogen can trigger an increase in breast cell division and growth of tumors. Parabens are directly linked to breast cancer and reproductive issues. But they are responsible for more than just cancer. Face moisturizer causing skin irritation? Struggling with hormonal imbalance and issue? Parabens could be the culprit.

2. Phthalates

Phthalates can reduce testosterone, cause infertility, disrupt your metabolism & even increase your risk of diabetes. Phthalate exposure is also associated with lower IQ, cognitive disabilities & even ADHD. Get them out!

3. Formaldehyde

This guy is EVERYWHERE it seems. It can cause an array of issues such as skin and mucous membrane allergies, asthma, flu-like symptoms & even cancer. I think it’s safe to say, we can and should do without.

4. Fragrance

This alone is a scary ingredient because the word can cover more than 100 chemicals. Even some of the “natural” fragrances can be just as dangerous as the synthetics. Fragrance can pass through the skin, enter the blood stream, and wreak havoc almost silently. They are considered carcinogens, hormone disrupters, neurotoxins & skin and respiratory irritants. Some common issues caused by exposure are migraines, hormone imbalance, asthma & cancer.

5. BPA

This is a chemical found in plastics and is linked to birth defects and reproductive problems, hormone disruption & heart disease.

This may be a seemingly short list but these 5 products are cause for so many health issues. If you or anyone in your family have a child or an adult with asthma and allergy issues, RUN away from toxins and you will find it to be the most rewarding decision of your life. Our bodies and each system within our bodies function in the most extraordinary ways. When we bog them down with chemicals and toxins, we take away their natural ability to perform all of the necessary functions. Now that we have given you a small handful of reasons why Non-Toxic living is beneficial, I hope your big question has shifted from ‘Why should I make the switch?’ To ‘Why wouldn’t I?!’
